Job summary

Johnson Controls in College Station, TX is seeking a field technician to perform system commissioning, load controllers, and troubleshoot basic HVAC issues. You will document commissioning, communicate progress to customers, and uphold safety standards on every service visit.

Qualifications

• Vocational school four-year program or associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field.
• Three years of industry experience or 1 year experience servicing electronic/ mechanical HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC controls systems and facilities management systems.
• Effective interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls ethically and professionally.
• PC experience and ability to program HVAC related software.

Responsibilities

• Performs system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools.
• Troubleshoots basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems.
• Responds to basic warranty calls and provides on-site solutions.
• Loads system-level controller software and runs basic diagnostics.
• Completes commissioning documentation and communicates progress to customers and contractors.
• Maintains safety standards and documents as-built changes.
• Provides quotes and upsell opportunities when appropriate.
