Automatic Controls Equipment Systems, based in the St. Louis area (Fenton, MO), is seeking an HVAC Controls Technician to program, troubleshoot, startup, and service Building Automation Systems. You will configure system performance, diagnose issues, and work with project teams to ensure BAS operates reliably.

The role requires strong control systems knowledge, the ability to work independently in field environments, and willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Experience with BAS/HVAC control systems and commissioning.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and wiring schematics.
• Ability to work with project teams and contractors.
• Willingness to pass drug screen and background check.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Flexible schedule and on-call rotation.
• Strong problem-solving and self-management.

Responsibilities

• Program, troubleshoot, startup, and service BAS.
• Configure system performance and diagnose issues.
• Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and clients.
• Perform point-to-point verification to ensure control programs function as designed.
• Assist with service calls during warranty period.
• Complete startup, checkout, and commissioning of projects.
• Maintain field drawings and coordinate with engineering.
