Job summary

Metro Building Services is seeking an HVAC Controls Technician to join our Bolton, MS team. You will install and retrofit building automation control systems and service existing systems to ensure reliable operation.

The role requires 2+ years in control automation, experience with major product lines, and proficiency in graphic programming, TCP/IP networking, and Microsoft Office. A strong safety mindset and client-focused attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Control Automation experience.
• Skilled in creating and modifying building automation controllers using graphical programming tools.
• Strong understanding of HVAC control theory and concepts.
• Working knowledge of product lines: Trane, Johnson Controls, Distech, Honeywell, Niagara-AX, and N4.
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with LonWorks, BACnet, and Modbus protocols (commissioning and troubleshooting).
• Familiarity with a wide range of HVAC equipment and troubleshooting techniques.

This role is responsible for the installation, retrofit, and ongoing service of building automation systems for our commercial customers. We’re looking for a dependable professional with strong technical expertise and a customer-first mindset.

• Service and troubleshooting existing systems to ensure reliable operation.
• Participate in ongoing training programs, including in-house and factory training.
