Position Summary

This is an HVAC Technician position with advanced BAS systems knowledge. This position will troubleshoot HVAC Mechanical systems and have the ability to utilize controls systems to aid in this effort. This position is a fully functioning journey level HVAC and Controls Technician, which is responsible for troubleshooting, installation, monitoring, repair, and service for the following systems: HVAC and Building Automation Systems (BAS) and all related hardware, software, and automated alarms, boilers, chillers, and HVAC equipment, and associated mechanical components. Troubleshoots, monitors, repairs, and services a variety of HVAC/R equipment including programing, calibrating, testing, monitoring and adjusting system parameters for efficient operation. Essential Job Duties

Troubleshoot HVAC and controls systems. Make repairs to HVAC equipment and control systems. Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration equipment including large/small HVAC supply and return air handling units, energy recovery ventilators, exhaust fans, unit heaters, fan coil units, hydronic pumps, air compressors, control air dehydration and filtering systems, forced air heating/cooling units, boilers, chillers, piping systems, other mechanical devices and related electronic interfaces. Install, maintain, program, repair, and trouble-shoot a variety of Building Automation Controls and other specialized equipment for electronic monitoring, network communication, measuring and overall operation of building automation system controllers, extension modules, network automation engines and a variety of different types of controls hardware across multiple operating system platforms from different manufactures and protocols. Identify the appropriate parts that need to be ordered for timely repairs.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Required Degree: High School Diploma or Equivalent Minimum Years of Experience and/or Skills: Five-years of experience as an HVAC and Controls Technician.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced BAS and HVAC experience. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Experience maintaining, repairing, and trouble-shooting High Efficiency Boilers. Experience maintaining, repairing, and trouble-shooting Chillers. Experience maintaining, repairing, and trouble-shooting Rooftop Heating and Cooling units. Experience maintaining, programming, repairing, and trouble-shooting a variety of HVAC and Building Automation Control systems including the end devices it controls. Ability to utilize computer and cell phones to manage work orders and communicate with team. Ability to develop positive working relationships with customers, peers, supervisors, management, contractors and partners. Customer service oriented.

Salary Range

$75,000 - $85,000
