Requirements

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Controls Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience mounting control panels, running and terminating low-voltage wiring, and working with HVAC control systems—especially Carrier Comfort Network (CCN) systems. This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC systems and the ability to read wiring diagrams and control schematics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and mount HVAC control panels according to design specifications and code requirements
  • Run, pull, and terminate low-voltage control wiring for HVAC and automation systems
  • Perform field wiring of sensors, actuators, and communication lines
  • Troubleshoot and test Carrier CCN controls and other building automation hardware
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics
  • Work closely with project managers, electricians, and HVAC installers to ensure smooth coordination on job sites
  • Maintain proper documentation of installations and as-built drawings
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC controls installation or service
  • Strong working knowledge of Carrier CCN controls or similar proprietary control systems
  • Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS/BMS) and HVAC sequence of operations
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training is a plus
Required Skills:
  • Experience with BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks protocols
  • Knowledge of additional control systems such as Trane, Siemens, or Johnson Controls
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification
Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed on construction sites, mechanical rooms, rooftops, and occupied commercial spaces
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varying weather conditions
