Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is required.
• New Mexico HVAC Journeyman License preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• EPA license and HVAC certificates indicate qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Identify repair and replacement needs for HVAC systems and energy management controls.
• Install, repair, maintain, and upgrade HVAC equipment per codes and specs.
• Analyze blueprints, schematics, and drawings to plan installations.
• Respond to emergencies and prioritize health and safety concerns.
• Coordinate with supervisors, inspectors, and contractors to complete work orders.
• Maintain records, inventories, and tools; operate from aerial platforms when needed.

Education

Associate degree or equivalent

New Mexico Construction Industries Division Journeyman’s License

Valid Driver’s License

Universal EPA License (EPA)

Boiler Operator Journeyman Certificate
