Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Controls Systems Technician in Tempe, AZ. The role performs system commissioning, diagnoses HVAC controls issues, and responds to warranty calls, delivering high quality service to customers.

You will load controller software, run diagnostics, and document commissioning results while ensuring safety protocols and timely communication with customers and management.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field or at least 2 years of industry experience.
• Generally required knowledge includes HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques.
• Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner.
• Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.

Responsibilities

• Loads system-level controller software and performs basic commissioning and system diagnostics from controllers to end devices.
• Keeps management and customers informed of job progress and issues; documents changes for as-built documentation.
• Completes administrative tasks such as time sheets and expense reports; follows safety standards and training.
