Job summary
Trane Technologies is seeking an HVAC Controls Project Engineer to join our Carolinas team. You will design building automation hardware and software, review documents, and develop cost‑effective control solutions for projects.
You will work with project teams to support the project manager and ensure successful deployment. Preferred seating in Charlotte, NC but candidates may be based in Greenville, SC or nearby areas.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field, or 3+ years in HVAC/project roles.
- Experience with building automation systems and drawing/design programs.
- Understanding of HVAC systems, BAS, and IT/network concepts.
Responsibilities
- Design building controls using direct digital controls for various building types.
- Review contracts, drawings, specs for automation system incorporation.
- Create installation, submittal, and as-built drawings; support field transition.
- Develop advanced sequences of operations to meet project needs.
- Prepare O&M manuals and review equipment submittals for design incorporation.
- Collaborate with project team and assist Project Manager as needed.
