Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an HVAC Programmer to design, integrate, and validate control software for critical facilities at the Starbase site. You will build programming packages, run functional tests, and train technicians on interaction with control systems.

The role requires hands-on development of building automation, collaboration with engineers, and willingness to travel to SpaceX locations for mission-critical projects, including overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience with HVAC, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical systems and control systems.
• Associate degree or 1-2 years vocational training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up process to write all programs and virtual points.
• Work with engineers to produce controller and graphical software meeting expectations.
• Incorporate third party software into building automation system designs.
• Identify components to network workstations and configure software networking.
• Set up test systems to validate programming prior to field release.
• Create functional test checkout sheets for specialist books.
• Provide technical support before, during and after installation.
• Recommend improvements to improve reliability of control systems.
• Provide in-house software support and assist maintenance of system software.
• Provide onsite assistance at critical facilities for testing.
• Perform administrative duties such as reports, quotes, and purchase orders.
