Job summary

PremiStar in Kansas City, MO is seeking an entry-level, full-time HVAC and building automation installer. The role involves installing HVAC controls on new builds, interpreting wiring diagrams, and working at various heights.

You should have at least a one-year HVAC certificate (or 2 years of related experience) and be capable of lifting up to 75 pounds, climbing ladders, and performing after-hours work when needed. This position offers growth and on-site travel with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year technical certificate in HVAC or equivalent from an accredited institution or 2 years of experience in an HVAC related field, preferred.
• Able to read and interpret wiring diagrams and plans; comfortable working at heights and lifting up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Install HVAC and building automation controls on new construction, remodeled, and service locations.
• Install communication and control wire possibly in obscure locations such as above ceiling grids, through walls, in tight crawl spaces or high places.
• Install control devices in hard-to-reach locations and terminate wires for sensors/actuators using wiring diagrams.
• Read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and wiring diagrams.
