Job summary

Daikin Applied seeks a Controls Engineer in Staunton, VA (on-site). You will design, develop, test and implement control systems for Daikin's equipment, collaborating with project teams and vendors while shaping cost improvements and performance enhancements.

Under supervision, you’ll create control sequences, analyze test data, support manufacturing, and assist sales with product literature. A Bachelor's in Engineering is required; Master’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to work with lab, design and marketing teams.
• Ability to coordinate with vendors for mechanical/electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope.
• Under supervision, provide limited guidance and analyze information for others.
• Evaluate designs and cost improvements to enhance competitiveness.
• Identify and procure materials for prototypes and new models.
• Support the planning of test programs for prototypes.
• Analyze test data to verify functional and performance specs.
• Assist in sourcing and coordinating procurement of new materials.
• Suggest cost-improvement ideas through product and design changes.
• Provide support to sales, marketing and manufacturing about products.
