Job summary

Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor seeks an experienced HVAC/DDC technician to install, repair, and maintain DDC, pneumatic, and electrical control systems for campus buildings. You will support re-commissioning efforts with utility providers and campus peers, optimizing equipment function and energy use.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and specialized HVAC training.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and DDC tools and methods.
• Experience installing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC and DDC equipment.
• Experience servicing DDC equipment at component level.
• Some experience writing software for DDC HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain HVAC-related DDC equipment.
• Operate workstation/terminal to command points and update databases.
• Interpret and modify software to control HVAC systems.
• Evaluate operation sequences for proper functionality of DDC and pneumatic/electrical controls.
• Read blueprints and schematics for HVAC control systems and diagnose issues.
• Prepare reports after troubleshooting HVAC and DDC systems.
