Job summary

Leoforce in Phoenix seeks a skilled HVAC Controls Engineer to join our manufacturing operations on a permanent basis. You will design, program, and commission control systems, focusing on energy efficiency and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 5+ years in HVAC controls, experience with Johnson Controls, Siemens, KMC, BAS/BMS/EMS, and strong IP networking skills. PE or CEM certification is a plus; excellent problem solving and communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years in HVAC controls engineering, manufacturing focus.
  • Proven experience with Johnson Controls, Siemens, KMC Programming, and BAS/BMS/EMS.
  • Strong IP networking knowledge.
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
  • Clear communication with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
  • PE or CEM certification is a plus.

Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HVAC Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This position is a permanent role that offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work on innovative projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing HVAC control systems in our manufacturing facilities. You will be a key player in ensuring our operations are energy-efficient, safe, and compliant with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
  • Design, program, commission, and troubleshoot HVAC control systems using various tools such as Johnson Controls, Siemens Smart Infrastructure, and KMC Programming.
  • Develop and implement Building Automation Systems (BAS), Building Management Systems (BMS), and Energy Management Systems (EMS) to optimize energy usage and improve system efficiency.
  • Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure HVAC systems meet the operational needs and safety standards of the facility.
  • Provide technical support for HVAC systems, including resolving issues, conducting routine maintenance, and implementing upgrades.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and professionals on large projects, including IP infrastructure and IP networks.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to HVAC controls.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation to detail all procedures and improvements made to the HVAC systems.
Qualifications
  • 1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC controls engineering, particularly in the manufacturing industry.
  • 3. Proven experience with Johnson Controls, IP Infrastructure, KMC Programming, Siemens Smart Infrastructure, Building Automation, BAS, BMS, EMS, HVAC Controls, Controls Programming, and Controls Commissioning.
  • 4. Strong understanding of IP Networks and related technologies.
  • 5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex HVAC system issues.
  • 6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical team members and stakeholders.
  • 7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • 8. Professional Engineer (PE) certification or Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification is a plus.
