Trane Technologies is seeking an Applications Engineer to shape HVAC controls offerings. You will act as an SME in fulfillment and application of controls, supporting design, testing, and field validation of new system applications.

You’ll collaborate with product teams, deliver guidance, and help create authoritative application content. The role involves hands-on development, field visits, and occasional travel to customer sites, with a base salary range aligned to market levels and a strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in building automation systems (BAS) or HVAC controls execution.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC controls projects from handoff through turnover.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise for HVAC system applications and integration with 3rd party systems.
• Collaborate with engineering to evaluate concept feasibility and resolve issues.
• Develop and review engineering bulletins, guides, and best practices.
• Present technical topics to internal and external audiences.
• Support field trials, pilots, and site rollouts for new system applications.
• Travel up to 20% as needed.
