Job summary

Danfoss Turbocor Compressors in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Test Technician to validate advanced compressor and chiller technologies. You will work with gas cycle test rigs, data from tests, and collaborate with engineers to ensure product performance, reliability, and safety.

Ideal candidates have EPA 608 certification, HVAC system experience, and the ability to collect and interpret test data while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• EPA 608 Universal Certification is required.
• Strong understanding of refrigeration cycle fundamentals.
• Experience with HVAC systems, chillers, or compressor testing environments.
• Ability to collect, review, and interpret test data.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate gas cycle test rigs, chillers, and compressor test platforms to generate performance data for R&D projects.
• Execute tests on compressors and refrigeration systems and verify test conditions and quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and maintenance teams to support testing activities and troubleshoot issues.
• Perform routine maintenance, leak checks, calibrations, inspections, and document updates for reliability.
• Install/remove compressors, handle refrigerants per EPA 608, participate in safety audits, maintain a clean work area.
