Job summary

Western Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking an HVAC journeyman-level technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems at customer sites in Boise. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot controls, and document work while communicating clearly with property managers and business owners.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of commercial service experience, EPA certification, and a valid driver's license, with a focus on safety, quality workmanship, and customer

Qualifications

• HVAC Journeyman license or equivalent commercial experience.
• 3+ years of commercial service experience preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities.
• EPA Certification (required).
• Experience with rooftop units, boilers, hydronic systems, and commercial controls.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Professional demeanor and strong customer communication skills.
• Commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems including RTUs, split systems, boilers, chillers, and controls.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and system inspections.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control-related issues.
• Interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Accurately document service calls, recommendations, and completed work.
• Communicate clearly with property managers, facility directors, and business owners.
• Identify and recommend system improvements, upgrades, or other products and services provided by Western, when appropriate.
