The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in HVAC systems and be responsible for installation, troubleshooting, and ensuring quality customer service. This position requires a Texas state certification and EPA certification, along with strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to safety. Qualifications

• State of Texas--Registered Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician.
• EPA Universal 608 certified.
• 5-10 years experience required.
• Safety oriented, NFPA 70E compliant.
• EPA Universal 608 certified.
• Skilled in testing/troubleshooting HVAC systems & components.
• Understanding of sub-cool, superheat, air flow concepts.
• Experience replacing motors, compressors, coils, heat exchangers.
• Safety oriented, NFPA 70E compliant.
• Good attitude, strong work ethic, team player.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must provide basic hand tools, gauges, etc.

We are currently seeking a qualified, experienced HVAC technician to join our fast-growing HVAC service team in La Porte Texas and surrounding area.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs HVAC related controls installation activities, start-up, commissioning and trouble-shooting for newly installed systems and components and ensures automation system is properly installed and operating correctly.
• Candidate spends vast majority of time in the field performing these duties.
• Attend training, support other team members and the culture at Way Service, and depending upon experience, mentor junior technicians.
• Redeems customer commitments in a professional, high quality and timely manner.
• Responsible for complete customer satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of HVAC Trade School Program preferred
• 5-10 years experience
• HVAC Unitary/DX Experience
• State of Texas--Registered Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician
• EPA Universal 608 certified
• Skilled in Testing / Trouble-shooting HVAC systems & components
• Through understanding of / ability to determine sub-cool, superheat, Air Flow, etc.
• Experienced in replacement of motors, compressors, coils, heat exchangers, etc.
