A leading company in HVAC services is seeking a Journeyman HVAC Service Technician to manage the service and maintenance of HVAC systems. The role involves customer interaction, equipment servicing, and ensuring client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have an Associate's Degree, relevant licenses, and experience in HVAC repair.
A successful Journeyman HVAC Service Technician will perform all work in the service and maintenance field on all major types of HVAC equipment. Responsible for retrofit and repair of environmental-comfort systems, utilizing knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts.
-Represents the company by serving as a direct customer contact.
-Projects a positive, friendly and professional image on behalf of the organization.
-Responsible for servicing all products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
-Uses a variety of hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.
-Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs systems and products at customer’s location.
-Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
-Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessary.
-Inspects vehicles by checking vehicle condition.
QUALIFICATIONS/ CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
-Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a Technical/Trade School with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning and (3) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Must possess computer skills with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
-Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record for state of residence.
-EPA Certification.
-HVAC Journeyman license required.
-Additional license; Boiler Operator, Gas Installer, etc. preferred.
