• On-site work in extreme heat, climb ladders, and access attics/rooftops.

• Willingness to learn proper procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of Commercial Construction HVAC projects, from start to finish.
• Read blueprints, take-offs from blueprints, and identify potential issues.
• Ensure all jobs comply with Florida mechanical codes.
• Lead planning to ensure on-time completion within budget.
• Determine resources needed (manpower, material, equipment).
• Optimize processes and workflows for efficiency and compliance.
• Maintain professional communication with customers, staff, field workers, and vendors.
• Lead weekly meetings and monthly reports to management.
• Attend jobsite meetings and document progress.
• Schedule material, equipment deliveries, and rentals as needed.
• Be accountable for safety, productivity, and theft on site.
• Hire field workers for the division.
• Close out projects and pass final inspections.

The Commercial Construction Manager will oversee the HVAC Commercial Construction division, driving business growth, managing key client relationships, and ensuring the successful execution of projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of experience with commercial HVAC construction management and can be a proactive problem solver, work independently with accuracy, and follow through to completion. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical background in commercial construction HVAC systems, exceptional leadership skills, and ability to work in a team setting.

Job Duties:

• Oversee all phases of Commercial Construction HVAC projects, from start to finish
• Read blueprints, do take-offs from blueprints, and identify potential issues on blueprints
• Ensure all jobs are to Florida building codes for mechanical
• Provide key leadership and responsibility for all planning to ensure the work is done on time and within the project’s budget
• Determine appropriate resources needed for all aspects of the job (i.e., manpower, material, equipment, etc.)
• Optimize processes and workflows to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies
• Maintain professional and timely communication with customers, office staff, field workers, and vendors
• Lead weekly meetings and conduct monthly reports to management
• Attend jobsite meetings, job progress, and perform project site documentation
• Schedule material, equipment deliveries, tool/equipment rentals as needed
• Accountable for safety, productivity, and theft on a jobsite
• Hire field workers and team members for commercial construction division
• Close out project in a timely manner and pass all final inspections

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in commercial construction in HVAC
• 5+ years of experience supervising and leading a team
• Read, understand, and analyze blueprints
• Ability to be on construction job site with extreme heat, climb ladders, and navigate attics/rooftop
• Must have experience in working on multiple commercial construction jobs at one time
• Detail-orientated, multitasking skills, the ability to work outside the scope of work
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Skills in budgeting, forecasting, and completing a job within budget
• Experience in labor management
• A willingness to learn the proper procedures
• Cannot be an owner or part owner of HVAC company
• Knowledge of Field Edge a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Pay : $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
