Job summary

The State of Minnesota, Transportation Dept, invites applications for a Plant Maintenance Engineer Helper in Golden Valley. You will support HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance, with duties including coordination with contractors and safety compliance.

Day shift, Monday–Friday, full-time, nonexempt, with wage range $24.93–$28.84 hourly ($52,053–$60,217 annually). Immediate availability and a valid Class D license are required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and maintaining heating, plumbing, ventilation and electrical systems.
• Skill in the use of hand tools of the trade and simple repairs.
• Experience with building and grounds maintenance and construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operation, maintenance and repair of HVAC systems and other mechanical systems.
• Assist in building construction maintenance and grounds maintenance as required.
• Assist plumber and electrician to ensure safe, efficient services.
