Job summary

The Building People, LLC seeks a full-time Control Technician to service retro-commissioning and calibration of existing control systems. The role collaborates with project managers and subs to meet project requirements, with travel of about 25%.

You will assist in calibration, point-to-point checks, programming, and testing of DDC building automation systems as directed. Strong communication and analytical skills are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience with programming, startup and/or commissioning of control systems.
• Niagara Ax or N4 certification is a plus but not required.
• Understanding of installation of controls equipment and sensors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain project documentation and redlines.
• Calibrate sensors on HVAC control systems.
• Tune PID loops to optimize equipment operation.
• Assist with subcontractors, including test and balance teams.
• Support engineering of control hardware/software per project plans.
• Assist with programming, graphics, and sequences for DDC systems.
