Job summary

Albireo Energy, LLC in Kentucky is seeking a Systems Specialist to execute HVAC Building Automation projects, including startup, testing and commissioning from system-level controllers to end devices for small to medium retrofit projects.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair BAS components, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues to ensure optimal system performance. Customer training and thorough documentation are required.

Qualifications

• Vocational School four-year program graduate or an Associate’s degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field.
• One to two years of increasingly responsible experience in servicing electronic controls and HVAC equipment.
• Extensive knowledge of a variety of electronic or digital controls systems.
• Experience writing and understanding of computer programs and software applications as related to the HVAC industry.
• Valid Driver’s license with a clean record.

Responsibilities

• Performs start up, checking, testing, system diagnostics and commissioning from system-level controllers to end devices for small to medium sized new or retrofit projects.
• Performs preventative and predictive maintenance service activities to ensure optimal performance of system.
• Troubleshoots, diagnoses and repairs and/or replaces control components and controls systems; troubleshoots mechanical, HVAC and electrical issues as related to BAS operation.
• Writes, loads, tests and commissions programming software and graphics.
• Completes and submits job documentation such as commissioning documentation and punch lists; marks up controls submittals for field changes.
• Interfaces with service/project managers and subcontractors to coordinate activities.
• Assists sales with technical recommendations for leads and proposals to retrofit or upgrade equipment.
