Job summary

Albireo Energy is seeking a System Specialist to perform startup, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC Building Automation systems. You will verify system installations, diagnose issues, and provide on-site customer support while promoting system enhancements.

You will coordinate with service and project teams, load programming software, and train customers in BAS operation. A technical degree and driver’s license are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of electronic or digital controls systems.
• Graduate of vocational program or associate degree in related field.
• 2–4 years of experience servicing electronic controls and HVAC equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to coordinate work on multiple job sites.
• Good customer-facing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs startup, testing, system diagnostics and commissioning from controllers to end devices for small to mid projects.
• Performs preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
• Troubleshoots and repairs control components and BAS systems.
• Diagnoses networking and integration in complex control systems.
• Writes and loads programming software and graphics for BAS.
• Communicates with customers on arrival, status and recommendations.
• Trains customers in control systems operation and provides training certificates.
• Documents commissioning and creates as-built with field changes.
• Coordinates with service/project managers and subcontractors as required.
• Assists sales with technical recommendations for retrofits/upgrades.
• Keeps technical proficiency through self-study and certifications.
• Loads software on network/field controllers, computers and servers.
• Submits time sheets, expense reports and on-site documentation.
