Job summary

Texas AirSystems seeks an experienced Controls Service Technician to join our team of HVAC professionals. You will participate in start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning, servicing, and training on DDC Building Automation Systems for occupied buildings. Clear communication with customers and contractors is essential.

The role requires five years of BAS experience, Niagara expertise, and a solid understanding of BACnet and IP networks. Occasional travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years' experience with HVAC Building Automation Systems, specifically Niagara.
• Knowledge of BACnet; familiarity with LonWorks/Modbus is a plus.
• Strong computer skills and IP networking knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Able to work overtime, weekends, and on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain customer relationships, primarily focused on occupied building contracts.
• Analyze problems and resolve issues to ensure proper system functionality.
• Explore and report opportunities for advanced solutions for building operations and energy savings.
• Creation and modifications of animated graphics and minor software changes.
• Performs service repairs, adjustments, and calibration on Building Automation Systems.
• Provide technical support and training to customers as applicable.
• Checkout, start-up, and commissioning on controls projects.
• Mentoring and assisting peers as applicable.
