Job summary

CJ Schwan's is seeking an HVAC/Boiler Technician for the night shift to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment in a food manufacturing environment. You will work 6:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m., with a starting hourly wage plus a night shift differential, and be responsible for keeping conveyors, ovens and packaging machines running smoothly.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma or GED, with 0–2 years of related experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; two-year degree in specialized maintenance trade preferred.
• Minimum of 0 to 2 years of related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety documents, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to complete work orders and enter the required paperwork into a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment like conveyors, mixers, ovens, and packaging machines to keep production running smooth and prevent breakdowns.
• Follow food safety rules when working around production areas, using the right cleaning procedures and food-grade materials to keep everything up to code.
• Handle emergency repairs when equipment breaks down during production, getting things back up and running as fast as possible to minimize downtime.
• Manage spare parts and tools inventory to make sure you've got what you need when equipment needs fixing or upgrading.
• Always working safely, following OSHA regulations and keeping your area clean and in line with company rules.
