Job summary
Penn Medicine is seeking a Full-Time Multi-Skilled Plant Operator with a strong HVAC background to support the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania's Physical Plant. The role emphasizes installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial HVAC and boiler equipment, along with electrical troubleshooting and related trades.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, 2 years HVAC training, 4 years HVAC experience, and relevant licenses.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 2 years specialized HVAC training required.
- Minimum 4 years full-time HVAC experience with a contractor or employer.
- Experience with boilers preferred.
- Experience in healthcare facilities preferred.
- Philadelphia Engineers' Class A license required.
- CFC license for handling low tonnage (chillers) cooling equipment required.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, install and repair HVAC and boiler equipment.
- Testing and preventive maintenance on HVAC & Boiler related equipment.
- Able to troubleshoot electrical control circuits.
- Experience with plumbing systems; carpentry and painting as a plus.
- Overtime is a requirement on nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
