Job summary
PIM Brands in Somerset, New Jersey is seeking a HVAC/Boiler-Mechanic to maintain, repair and operate boiler systems safely. This full-time on-site role reports to the Maintenance Manager and requires reading drawings, performing inspections, and preventative maintenance.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, vocational training, and blue seal refrigeration and boiler licenses, with 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
- Vocational training or on-the-job training in machine operations and metal fabrication is necessary.
- Must be able to read and follow drawings, blueprints and written specifications.
- Blue seal refrigeration license required; blue seal boiler or higher preferred.
- Math and computer skills are preferred.
- Must have a minimum of 3-year experience as a maintenance mechanic preferably in an industrial environment.
- Competent in machinery repair, pumps, mixers and mechanical equipment.
- General electrical work, plumbing, pipefitting and welding.
- Ability to read, speak, and write English is required.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on boiler systems to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
- Conduct regular inspections of boiler equipment and related systems to identify and address potential issues.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff and departments to ensure seamless operation of all equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance and reporting purposes.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new boiler equipment as needed.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior mechanics and other team members.

We are looking for a HVAC/BOILER-MECHANIC interested in a career with a top ranked and growing snack company, to join our Maintenance department at PIM’s Somerset New Jersey location. This position will report to our Maintenance Manager.
The Mechanic-Boiler at PIM BRANDS LLC is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of boiler systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. This full-time role requires a skilled professional who can troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues, conduct regular inspections, and implement preventative maintenance measures to support the company’s operational needs.

Job will generally be performed in the manufacturing plant. When on the plant floor it is representative of a large, busy manufacturing operation. Noisy, active, objects on the floor, constant movement and traffic flow of motorized equipment. Hair net, beard net, assigned work uniform, protective eye wear and gloves are among the GMP required apparel that must be worn, if indicated, on the plant floor.

Working schedule is Friday,Sat,Sun,Mon,Tues ( 6:00am-2:30pm)
Standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling and crouching. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools and controls. The pay range for this position is $$60K-$76k. PIM Brands takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
