Job summary

Midwest City - Del City School District Maintenance in Oklahoma City is hiring an Apprentice HVAC. Immediate start with responsibilities to assist in diagnosing, servicing, and installing HVAC systems including condensers, central and rooftop units.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid Oklahoma driver's license, and the ability to work unsupervised during emergencies. Refrigerant certification within one year is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Must hold and maintain Oklahoma vehicle license.
• Must pass criminal and vehicular background checks.
• Must be available for unscheduled, emergency calls.
• Currently licensed as Mechanical Apprentice with OK authorities.
• Must attend refrigerant certification class within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Assist journeymen in diagnosing, servicing, and installing HVAC equipment (condensing units, central, rooftop).
• Maintain and service ice machines, steam cookers, walk-in refrigeration, and milk boxes.
• Assist in recovery of refrigerants and replacement of motors, starters, controllers, and wiring.
• Support boiler and chilled water system operations and maintenance.
• Adhere to International/BOCA codes and local regulations.
