Job summary

Honeywell Technologies in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an HVAC Apprentice to learn under experienced technicians and join the Local 412 apprenticeship program. The position offers a hybrid schedule and participation in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial HVAC systems.

You will develop skills in reading blueprints, using tools, and following safety standards while progressing toward journey-level certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current Local 412 membership or eligibility to join.
• 0-1 year of basic mechanical aptitude and a strong desire to learn HVAC.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and travel in Albuquerque area.

Responsibilities

• Assist Journeyman HVAC Technicians with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Learn to inspect, test, and diagnose HVAC equipment under supervision.
• Assist with preventive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Support installation and service of chillers, boilers, rooftops, air handlers, pumps.
• Learn to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Safely use hand tools, power tools, testing instruments.
• Follow safety requirements per Honeywell and OSHA.
• Maintain service documentation and report progress.
• Travel to customer sites in Albuquerque area.
• Complete apprenticeship training and classroom instruction per Local 412.
