Job summary

Professor Gatsby's Heating & Cooling in Williamstown, NJ is hiring an entry-level HVAC Apprentice to assist our experienced technicians while learning the trade.

You will work a 7-4 or 8-5, Monday - Friday schedule and earn a competitive wage of $17.00-$22.00/hr, depending on experience. We also offer health insurance, a 401(k) match, 5 paid sick days after 90 days, paid holidays, paid vacation, a team atmosphere, and more!

Qualifications

• EPA certification required.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work from heights or small crawl spaces.
• No prior HVAC experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist HVAC technicians with installation of equipment and ductwork.
• Learn on-the-job through field mentoring and training.
• Provide friendly, customer-facing support during service calls.

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN ENTRY-LEVEL HVAC APPRENTICE
As an HVAC Apprentice, you are eager to learn! You ask questions, observe, and emulate the values we adhere to here at Professor Gatsby's Heating & Cooling. You go out in the field with an HVAC Technician and help with the installation of equipment and ductwork, as well as large repairs. As you assist them, they mentor and train you on everything from how to talk with customers to how to properly service equipment.
You are a hard worker who does whatever is asked of you and pays close attention to what you're being taught. You enjoy interacting with customers and fellow employees. You also spend some of your time taking classes and continuing to expand your HVAC knowledge and skills. You are excited to be part of our apprenticeship program and can't wait to advance in this stable and well-paid career as an HVAC Technician!
