Description
SPAARK 2.0, LLC is currently seeking a HVAC and Plumbing Design Engineer to support the Construction Facilities Management Office (CFMO) for the Pennsylvania Army National Guard (PAARNG). This position is located at Fort Indiantown Gap in Annville, PA.
- Develop professional HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design work for renovations and new construction projects.
- Conduct analysis on existing systems and develop solutions to modernize facilities to satisfy project requirements.
- Develop, review, sign, and seal engineering design documents.
- Review work of mechanical designers and external consultants including drawings, specifications, reports, calculations, and budget estimates to ensure design documents are technically adequate and cost effective.
- Provide mechanical expertise for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems in all phases of facilities construction projects including project validation, program development, project scheduling, cost estimating, design development, construction administration, and project closeout.
- Support the State Office of Facilities and Engineering for workload as validated by CFMO Plans Officer.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Licensed professional Mechanical Engineer in the Commonwealth of PA.
- 5+ years of experience designing mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Expert skills and proficiency in AutoCad.
- Valid driver's license, without special restrictions to operate Government-owned vehicles
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software programs, including Word, Excel, Project, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
