Reports to: Custodial and Maintenance Building Lead; Director of Buildings and Grounds
The HVAC Technician helps install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems that control temperature and air quality in buildings. This role is hands-on and ideal for someone with basic knowledge in mechanics, problem-solving, and working with tools and equipment.
Assist with the installation and maintenance of air conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems.
Help inspect and repair fans, motors, pumps, filters, and thermostats.
Learn to use tools, gauges, and meters to test and adjust equipment.
Support senior technicians with routine maintenance, such as cleaning coils and replacing filters.
Help monitor building systems like chillers, boilers, and cooling towers.
Follow safety rules and keep work areas clean and organized.
Record maintenance activities and report problems to supervisors.

General maintenance duties and responsibilities.

High school diploma or GED (required).
