Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach HVAC/R courses and support student success using standard syllabi. The role involves delivering instruction, maintaining attendance and grades, and assisting students beyond class time.

The position requires strong field experience, with preferred background in sheet metal, refrigeration service, electrical work, and sales/management capabilities. This is a part-time, on-site adjunct role across semesters.

Qualifications

• 5 years of field experience in the HVAC/R trade.
• Basic sheet metal, commercial refrigeration service and electrical experience preferred.
• Sales and managerial experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes using provided syllabi.
• Maintain attendance and grading records per college policy.
• Be available to students outside class time and address concerns with program coordinator if needed.
• Meet scheduled classes and use technology like Ivy Learn and PowerPoint.
• Notify department chair in case of emergency absence and promote diversity in all activities.
