Job summary

Massasoit Community College seeks an adjunct HVAC faculty member to teach a range of HVAC/R courses in the Brockton area. Classes run 4:00pm–9:00pm, with potential weekend sessions 8:00am–4:00pm, on-site or off-site.

Responsibilities include classroom management, student engagement, and using CANVAS, BANNER, and other college systems. Applicants should have a bachelors (or compatible experience), HVAC certifications, and at least three years of teaching in HVAC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent experience.
• Certifications in HVAC/industry standards (EPA 608, NATE, HVAC Excellence, ASHRAE Designer, OSHA, R-410A).
• Minimum three years teaching or training HVAC courses, preferably in a community college.
• Experience teaching in online/hybrid models and using college systems.

Responsibilities

• Organize and deliver class objectives clearly.
• Maintain a safe, orderly classroom and lab environment with ready-to-use tools and equipment.
• Supervise students, promote learning, participation, and professionalism.
• Test, evaluate, and communicate progress with students and supervisors.
• Be proficient with learning technologies and comfortable teaching online/hybrid formats.
• Meet prospective partner companies as needed.
