Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited seeks a High Voltage Maintenance Engineer to shape data center electrical design and support reliable operations. You will own HV substation and MV distribution work, coordinating with trades and technical teams, reporting to the VP of Engineering.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, design review, troubleshooting, and project delivery with a focus on reliability and capacity planning for critical facilities in the US market.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of related experience.
• Broad experience in operations and maintenance of high voltage substations and medium voltage distribution.
• Knowledge of protection and control systems for HV substations including transformers, breakers and protection relays.
• Strong troubleshooting with root cause analysis and ability to read electrical schematics.
• Willing to work hands-on with trades and staff, with flexibility for outside normal hours.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; self-driven with limited direction.

Responsabilidades

• Support project development with design meetings and collaboration with site and corporate staff and external engineering partners.
• Review and validate drawings and technical reports from consultants, manufacturers, engineering firms and commissioning agents, acting as technical Owner's representative.
• Lead or support construction, installation and commissioning activities in the electrical space, and lead complex electrical engineering tasks through to completion.
• Monitor system operations from an electrical perspective, ensuring sites run within parameters and to the highest standard of reliability and utilization.
• Perform detailed analysis and calculations to support reliable operations, capacity planning and real-time system limitations.
• Provide second-level troubleshooting support to site staff, and coach and provide feedback on electrical matters.

Skills/Must Have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, with 5+ years' related experience
• Broad experience in operations and maintenance of high voltage substations and medium voltage distribution, ideally within an electrical utility or heavy industrial setting
• Knowledge of protection and control systems as applied to high voltage substations and apparatus, including transformers, circuit breakers and protection relays
• Strong troubleshooting ability, with root cause analysis experience and comfortable reading electrical control diagrams and schematics
• Willing to work hands-on alongside trades and technical staff, with flexibility to support outside normal hours for key project activities or system events
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder skills; self-driven and comfortable with uncertainty and limited direction
