Job summary

Central Arizona Project seeks a Meter & Relay Electrician to install, program, commission, maintain, test, and repair electrical and electronic equipment. In-state travel from Mondays through Thursdays is typical.

You’ll handle complex relays, substation gear, and protective equipment with safety-focused procedures. Qualified candidates have an electrical apprenticeship or equivalent and at least three years of journeyman experience in an industrial setting, plus a valid driver's license and

Qualifications

• Completion of state or federal electrical apprenticeship or equivalent.
• At least three years journeyman-level experience in industrial electrical work.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, commission, maintain, test, adjust, troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment.
• Perform lockout/tagout procedures safely.
• Calibrate protective relaying equipment and test with specialized instruments.
• Maintain substations and high voltage systems; update schematics as needed.
