Job summary

NextEra Energy is seeking an experienced HV Strike Team Technician I to support planned outages, high-voltage maintenance, testing, and PRC-028 compliance across NEER generating fleet. This role is based at a Renewables site and requires approximately 40%-50% travel.

Night, weekend, and holiday support by telephone or on-call may be required. You will read DC schematics and relay drawings, coordinate resources, document test results, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while working with

Qualifications

• High School Grad / GED.
• 4+ years of relevant field experience.
• Valid Driver's License (NON-CDL).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine work in substation, transmission, and collection system maintenance.
• Work with data communication equipment and oversee testing.
• Coordinate emergency response and repairs to HV equipment across area.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete outages on time.
• Complete Yellow Belt certification and coach others in the quality process.
