Job summary

A leading electric vehicle technology company located in Manteno, IL, is seeking a BMS Application Engineer. This position involves supporting the design and development of high-voltage battery systems for electric vehicles, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to system validation. The ideal candidate holds a relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree and has 3–5 years of experience in the industry. Competitive salary range between $90,000 and $128,000 plus bonuses and benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in the battery or EV industry, preferably in a BMS hardware or software role.
• Exposure to high-voltage battery systems (400–1000V), including electronic/software design.
• Understanding of BMS, CAN communication, and automotive diagnostic protocols.
• Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and automotive product development cycles.
• Understanding of safety standards such as ISO 26262.
• Willingness to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the design and development of electrical architecture for high-voltage battery systems.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure complete system integration.
• Participating in RFQ/RFI processes by preparing technical input.
• Contributing to system validation, including electrical testing.
