Archer Aviation, headquartered in Silicon Valley, seeks an experienced mechanical design engineer to advance HV battery components and power distribution for next‑gen air mobility systems. You will develop high‑voltage enclosures, perform DFMEA, and coordinate with manufacturing to maintain design intent.

Responsibilities include conducting FEA, tolerance stack‑ups, and 2D/3D drawing releases in NX, while collaborating with suppliers and production teams to scale designs for volume production.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of mechanical design experience in aerospace or automotive sectors.
• Experience with HV systems and electric powertrains (bonus if hybrid).
• Solid CAD experience with NX; strong GD&T and tolerance analyses.
• Familiar with product development from concept to high-volume production.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop mechanical enclosures, mounts, and interfaces for HV battery components.
• Size power conductors, optimize insulation, and manage interconnect strategy.
• Select HV contactors and conduct fuse coordination studies for safe power distribution.
• Support HV safety design including creepage/clearance and shielding decisions.
• Create 2D drawings and 3D NX models; support prototyping and validation.
