Job summary

Pretium Packaging, L.L.C. is seeking a production support associate to help manage materials, prepare packaging, and maintain a safe, organized work area. You will follow SOPs to ensure high-quality output and collaborate with maintenance and production teams.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, reliable record-keeping, and teamwork, with opportunities to learn troubleshooting and contribute to smooth operations on the shop floor.

Qualifications

  • Basic mechanical aptitude with ability to assist in troubleshooting equipment issues.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines consistently.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to accurately monitor, record, and maintain production data.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to support production staff and maintenance personnel.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas.

Responsibilities

  • Manage material inventory, ensuring that all supplies are readily available for production processes.
  • Responsible for making boxes for assigned lines and preparing them for shipment once they are packed.
  • Support team members in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area to comply with safety standards.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure high-quality production output.
  • Manage the resin rail cars and bulk trucks per procedure. Keeps accurate records while working with the Production Scheduler as it relates to managing resin inventories.
  • Responsible for grinding clear or color scrap/material in the grinding room while keeping the grinding area clean and orderly in a safe manner.
  • Monitor and document key process parameters of all auxiliary equipment. Reporting any anomalies to maintenance leadership.
  • Monitor and change all auxiliary equipment filters and filter elements in accordance with schedule, as well as, on an “as needed basis”.
