Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady.
• Previous general labor, landscaping, construction, or cleanup experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift materials throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and carry debris and cleanup materials as required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely as part of a team.
• Willingness to work extended hours or weekends as needed.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cleanup and recovery efforts following hurricanes and severe storms.
• Remove and collect storm debris, including branches, leaves, damaged materials, and other waste.
• Load and unload debris, supplies, and cleanup materials.
• Clear walkways, parking lots, and outdoor areas of storm-related debris.
• Assist with moving and organizing materials and equipment.
• Use basic hand tools such as rakes, shovels, and brooms.
• Follow all safety procedures and instructions from supervisors.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $17.50 - $17.50 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Hurricane Cleanup Worker:

• Assist with cleanup and recovery efforts following hurricanes and severe storms
