Job summary

Harkham Hillel Hebrew Academy is seeking qualified candidates to teach Ancient and Medieval World History in Middle School with emphasis on reading and writing skills. Candidates will collaborate with the department head and co-teachers to develop assessments, scopes and sequences, and curriculum maps using Humanities content.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree required.
• Valid teacher credential; Masters degree and/or Middle School teaching experience preferred.
• Experience with project-based learning and curriculum development is valued.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement project-based, multi-disciplinary instructional units in Middle School History.
• Collaborate with grade level colleagues to plan, integrate, and enhance instruction in all curricular areas.
• Participate in school events including Open House, Back to School Night, and student performances.
• Serve as a Middle School advisor and other duties as assigned.

Job description

Harkham Hillel Hebrew Academy is looking for candidates who are competent in teacher Ancient and Medieval World History with an emphasis on reading and writing skills. Qualified candidates are expected to collaborate with the department head and co-teachers to develop strong assessments, scopes and sequences, and curriculum mapping using content provided by the Humanities Department.

Harkham Hillel Hebrew Academy seeks committed, collaborative, and passionate faculty members to join our growing Middle School program for the 2021-22 school year.
