Job summary

Boeing is seeking a Human Engineering professional to apply HE principles to the analysis, design, and evaluation of complex systems, including cockpit interfaces and system software requirements. You will support civil and military certification activities and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, effective human performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in engineering/related field and 2+ years in Human Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with defense programs and civil certification knowledge is preferred.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD standards and human factors documentation.
• Ability to derive HE requirements and evaluate designs against HRLs.
• Experience in workload and situation awareness assessments such as NASA TLX.

Responsibilities

• Apply Human Engineering to analysis, design and evaluation of complex systems.
• Design and document system software requirements for cockpit and interfaces.
• Support civil and military certification activities.
• Define and validate system performance and human operation requirements.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate HE considerations into design and production.
• Conduct user engagement activities through interviews, focus groups, and field studies.
