Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a seasoned biologist to support DARPA's Human Subject Research (HSR) program on site in Arlington, VA. Responsibilities include coordinating HSR activities, policy reviews, training updates, and interfacing with military and agency staff to ensure compliance with DoD instructions.

The role requires an active SECRET clearance, MS or related medical degree, and eight+ years in HSR or related fields, with strong problem-solving and executive-level communication skills.

• IRB regulatory experience (nice to have)

• Develop and present HSR related briefings and support DARPA contract agents.

What You Will Do:

Assist in the execution of Human Subject Research (HSR) activities for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in accordance with DoW policies and procedures. This may include maintaining a database of all HSR funded activities; advising as to whether an effort may be considered HSR work with agents to ensure all DARPA Instructions related to HSR are appropriately followed; review and update training and policy documents; interface with various internal and external Military Service, agency, and other organization’s staff members with regards to HSR; develop and/or present HSR related briefings; and assist agents requesting to become a DARPA approved HSR contract agent. This role requires the ability to work on site in Arlington VA up to 5 days a week

What You Will Need:

An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED 'SECRET' Federal or DoD security clearance Ability to serve as the subject matter expert in required areas of expertise and provide industry best practice solutions to extremely complex problems being addressed. Master of Science (MS) or related medical degree EIGHT (8) or more years of experience in Human Subject Research (HSR) or related fields. Experience should include that ability to analyze extremely complex problems and recommend, monitor and execute best practice solutions to executive level management.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED 'TOP SECRET' Federal or DoD security clearance IRB regulatory experience Experience in the medical field in order to assist Program Managers with HSR testing requirements
