Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Human Spaceflight Engineer (Member of Technical Staff - Systems Engineering) to support NASA programs. The role requires coordinating across Artemis transportation and Moonbase initiatives, defining technical requirements, and reviewing NASA/contractor deliverables.

On-site work is available in Houston, TX; El Segundo, CA; or Colorado Springs, CO. Qualified candidates will have a B.S.

Qualifications

B.S. in engineering, science, or related STEM discipline.
1+ years of professional engineering/scientific experience in systems engineering and lifecycle environment.
Entry level experience in human exploration architecture, integration and mission operations.
Knowledge of the engineering program life cycle.
Ability to obtain/maintain security clearance (US citizenship).

Responsibilities

Serve in the program office and connect exploration topics across moonbase, nuclear, science and Artemis transportation initiatives.
Define operational technical requirements for the programs.
Perform assessments and readiness evaluations.
Collaborate with NASA mission architects/designers and program experts.
Review contractor deliverables and NASA requirements for compliance and effectiveness.
Contribute to standards development and documentation for exploration operations.
Support facility/infrastructure topics and planning.
Participate in technical/safety/integration working groups.
Prepare clear reports and presentations for program offices.
