Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Human Spaceflight Systems Engineer (Senior MT S taff/ Project Engineer- Systems Engineering) to support NASA programs, coordinating Artemis transportation and Moonbase activities. On-site at Houston, CO, FL or CA locations, you will lead operational technical efforts and drive system integration for complex spaceflight missions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or related STEM discipline.
  • 3 years of systems engineering, mission operations, or human spaceflight program experience.
  • Proven experience in human exploration architecture, integration and mission operations.
  • Strong knowledge of the engineering program lifecycle: requirements, design reviews, verification/validation.
  • Ability to influence technical decisions and coordinate with stakeholders across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Serve in the program office and connect exploration topics for moonbase, nuclear, science and Artemis initiatives.
  • Define operational technical requirements for various programs.
  • Perform assessments and readiness evaluations.
  • Collaborate with NASA mission architects/designers and program experts across government and industry.
  • Review contractor deliverables and NASA requirements for compliance and effectiveness.
  • Develop technical reports and progress updates for internal and external partners.
