Job description

Position Overview

The Department of Human Services at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part‑Time Lecturer Pool. This pool provides temporary part‑time faculty to teach courses in the Human Services discipline. Appointments are often made at short notice, just prior to the start of an academic term.

Responsibilities
  • Teach assigned courses in Case Management, Introduction to Human Services, and Crisis Intervention for undergraduate students.
  • Prepare and deliver lecture material, course syllabi, assignments, and assessments.
  • Participate in regular performance evaluations in accordance with the CSU collective bargaining agreement.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment for a culturally diverse student body.
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Prior teaching experience at the university level.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Significant teaching experience with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, inclusive environment.
  • Relevant professional experience and performance record.

Appointment & Salary

All appointments are made on a semester‑by‑semester basis. Salary ranges from $5,507 to $6,677 per month (proportional to units taught). Typical compensation for a three‑unit assignment ranges from $6,608.40 to $7,465.20 per semester. Benefits information is available on the CSU Fullerton HR website.
