Sacramento County is seeking a qualified Human Services Division Manager to plan, coordinate, and administer a major division within social, health, or community services. The role includes directing a large staff, managing budgets, and ensuring program effectiveness, under executive direction.
The position requires a Bachelor's degree in management or a related field, with a Master’s preferred, and at least two years of managerial experience in human services.
Range A - $13,203.12 - 14,555.08/month
Range B - $13,177.00 - 16,016.70/month
Under executive direction, the Human Services Division Manager plans, coordinates and administers a human services division comprised of several major program sections in the fields of social, health, or community services, or financial assistance; performs related work as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of education, training and experience likely to provide the required Knowledge and Abilities for this class as described above. Typical ways include:
Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in management field such as public administration, business administration, or health services administration; or in a related human service field such as social work, psychology, public health, health sciences, sociology, or a closely related health field such as life sciences or physical sciences; for some positions, a Master's degree may be preferred; additional qualifying experience may substitute for degree on a year-for-year basis;
And
Two (2) years of managerial experience in the field of human services comparable to the County's Health Program Manager or Human Services Program Manager classes.
Note: If the word “experience” is referenced in the minimum qualifications, it means full-time paid experience unless the minimum qualification states that volunteer experience is acceptable. Part‑time paid experience may be accumulated and pro‑rated to meet the total experience requirements.
