Calcasieu Parish Police Jury is seeking a detail-oriented administrative clerk to support Human Services operations. Incumbents determine client eligibility, compile financial data, review guidelines, and prepare reports while maintaining files and responding to inquiries.
The role requires High School diploma or GED and at least one year of customer service or clerical experience; a valid driver’s license may be required. Strong data entry and confidentiality are essential.
This is the first of five levels in the Human Services series.
Incumbents determine client eligibility for assigned programs. Responsibilities may include compiling and reviewing financial data; determining eligibility for services based on established guidelines; promoting service offerings; completing an initial assessment of client needs; creating and maintaining files; compiling statistics and preparing reports; and performing related clerical duties. This position does not require supervisory responsibilities.
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) and one year customer service or clerical support experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
