Job summary

The Kraft Heinz Kendallville Plant is seeking a Training Coordinator to develop, coordinate, track, and continuously improve training programs that ensure employees are qualified to perform their roles safely and effectively. The role partners with Operations, Human Resources, Process Owners, Training Techs, and facility leadership to align training with staffing needs.

Qualifications

  • Develop, coordinate, track, and continuously improve plant training programs.
  • Ensure employees receive required training and maintain qualifications.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Human Resources, Process Owners, Training Techs, and facility leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Build and implement plant-wide training strategies.
  • Manage the yearly Training Tracker and Training Calendar for plant compliance training through KHMS.
  • Routinely evaluate training programs and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure required training is completed in accordance with established training timelines.
  • Ensure training programs and documentation meet KHMS requirements.
  • Partner with the HRBP and plant leadership to identify training needs.
  • Coordinate training initiatives across departments and shifts.
  • Partner with department supervisors to coordinate training while helping control training costs.
  • Work with all departments to develop, maintain, and track production training documentation.
  • Create and update employee qualification cards within Connected Worker.
  • Maintain accurate employee qualification information.
  • Follow up with Trainers to ensure training is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Track, maintain, and continuously improve the current training database.
  • Maintain accurate and audit-ready training records.
  • Update Deweb for new and transferring employees as applicable.
  • Identify qualification gaps that could impact on staffing or production.
  • Support employee cross-training initiatives to improve workforce flexibility.
  • Partner with supervisors and Process Owners to coordinate department training.
  • Monitor training completion and identify overdue or incomplete training.
  • Work with Human Resources and Operations to prioritize training based on production and staffing requirements.
  • Ensure employees remain on track with required training timelines.
  • Communicate training status and qualification concerns to appropriate plant leadership.
  • Work with the HRBP to identify staffing needs related to training.
  • Meet with new hires to ensure a smooth onboarding process on week 1, month 1, and 90 days.
  • Daily floor walks to check in on new hires and hands on training.
  • Send annual employee evaluations to supervisors for completion.
  • Track and maintain completion of annual evaluations.
  • Follow up with supervisors to ensure evaluations are completed within established timelines.
  • Maintain accurate evaluation documentation.
  • Track applicable corrective actions associated with the evaluation process.
  • Partner with the Recruiting/Onboarding function to ensure new employees receive required training.
  • Serve as a backup for new-hire orientation when needed.
  • Assist with classroom and hands-on training as appropriate.
  • Support required LOTO and PIT certification processes where applicable.
  • Ensure new employees are progressing through required training and qualification timelines.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities related to plant training.
  • Build and implement the squint program with the support of CI.
  • Develop and follow through on training-related improvement projects.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Participate in facility teams and KHMS initiatives.
  • Flex work hours as needed to support training initiatives across all facility shifts.
  • Report all safety concerns and potential hazards to a supervisor or manager.
  • Uphold KHMS standards as detailed in the plant’s KHMS training program.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the HRBP.

Position Summary

Essential Responsibilities
